Q: What major metropolitan areas is the ranch near?
- Within 45 Minutes you can be in San Bernadino, Riverside, and Ontario.
- Within 90 Minutes you can be in Los Angeles and Orange County
- Within 2 hours you can be in San Diego
Q: What airports are the closest?
- The closest airport is the Ontario International Airport 30 minutes
- Los Angeles International (LAX) - 1.5hrs
- Orange County John Wayne Airport (SNA) - 1hr.
- The ranch is equipped with a FCC certified Helipad that can make any trip from Hollywood or the Los Angeles basin literally within forty minutes.
Q: What is the weather like at the ranch?
The Ranch's unique location where the high desert meets the base of the Angeles National Forest provides seasonal weather. The ranch resides at the base of Jesus Canyon with an elevation of 4100-4700 feet. Fall and spring temperatures typically range from 40-75. The winter sometime produces snow in the ranch village. The summer can be hot with temperatures ranging from 60-95.
Q: What is the best time of year to book an event at the ranch?
In general we offer most of our retreats and camps between the months of September and June, simply to allow the summer months for the private use of the ranch, though it is available for rental. We recommend if you book the ranch during those months you consider the high desert heat as a factor.
Q: Are there on-site accommodations?
There are limited fixed housing accommodations for small groups; however The Ranch can provide accommodations for up to 80 people onsite with the services of RV’s that are dropped off through a local service. This makes for a wonderful ranch camping in style experience and at the end of your stay; the RV is simply taken away. A perfect solution for larger church retreats, father/son retreats and groups wishing to stay out at the ranch for 3-4 days.
Q: Do you provide horses for riding?
The Ranch does not provide any of our private horses for rides. You may bring your horse and board the horse for a fee look under (horses) and our livestock staff will feed and care for your horse while you spend time at The Ranch either for a retreat or camp.
Q: What are the costs associated for booking an event at The Ranch?
Each event is unique at Jesus Canyon, so our pricing is based upon group size, activities, catering needs. Please complete a request for quote and we will have one of our event coordinators contact you with a quote.
Q: Where is Llano California?
25 minutes from Wrightwood California if you enter that into your google maps you will see Hwy 138, The Ranch at Jesus Canyon is directly off of Hwy. 138 near the Wrightwood turnoff.
